Foe Squad Panel
To place a foe squad on the map, click on the Foe Squad icon at the bottom of the screen then click on the map where you want to place the squad. Hold the space key down while clicking to place the squad near another squad or other piece. The following panel will appear after placing the squad.
Men - The number of men in the squad. A squad can have up to 25 men. The squad icon's size will change to reflect the number of men in the squad.
Condition - The squad's initial condition. The lower the value, the sooner the squad will become tired.
Sight - Maximum distance that this squad can see the player's squads. A squad will not react to another squad that it can't see. If set to a low value and the squad has no goal (see below), the squad will guard its current location and will move only if a player squad is very close. A red circle is drawn around the squad to show its sight range. You can drag this panel to see a better view of the squad.
Aggressive - Sets how aggressive this squad should act toward the player's squads. A very aggressive squad will attack any player squad in sight. Medium aggressive will attack squads that it has a 50% or better chance of defeating. A squad with low aggressive settings will ignore most player squads. Squads with a low aggressive setting and at a goal flag will stay to protect the flag while high aggressive squads may leave the flag to attack a player squad. This setting is also used to decide how many squads should stay in a castle if a player squad is approaching. If all the squads in the castle have a low aggressive setting then more will stay.
Reserve - When this squad's condition goes below its reserve setting, it will look for a village or city to rest. If its condition is less than half the reserve setting, the squad will rest where it is.
Goal - An item can be set as this squad's goal. Click on the item to rotate through the selections. The squad will try to go to that item's location. If that item is attached to another squad, this squad will try to attack the squad if it is a player squad or follow the squad if it is another foe squad. If there are more than one item on the play area set as the goal (example: the goal is set to the blue flag and there are three blue flags on the play area), the squad will go to the nearest goal. When it reaches that goal it will go to the nearest next goal and so on. You can use this if you want the squad to patrol between two locations or patrol in a set pattern. Squads know where their goals are even if they are out of sight.
Attach - An item can be attached to the squad. The squad will carry the item until it is captured by an enemy squad. Click on the item to rotate through the selections. Items are used to indicate goals and end game conditions. More Info
